Children are so free spirited and full of joy and innocence. To be able to capture their spirit is one of the best parts of my job!
Meet Benson and Megan. They are brother and sister (if you couldn’t tell). This session took place in Port Perry, Ontario and was a gift for Christmas so I couldn’t share any of these images beforehand. What a wonderful gift idea though! We decided to have some fun outside with the last bit of fallen leaves first. Megan loved to make funny faces and warmed up quickly to the camera. Benson took a little longer to get comfortable, but that tends to be the case with boys. Unfortunately the outside fun didn’t last long since it started to rain, but we brought the fun inside! Benson and Megan were super excited to get started on their gingerbread house! This was a tradition when I was a child and it brought back so many great family memories. Capturing Benson and Megan’s excitement, concentration and maybe a little frustration while decorating the gingerbread house was very special! There may or may not have been enough candy to finish decorating by the end.I am an only child so to see the bond between brother and sister and be able to capture it for them to see years from now means so much to me! I hope I captured their individual personalities and hope you can see the story within these photos.
Enjoy!
